Meet Kasandra Mullaney

Little Hands Crafts Corner, owned by Kasandra Mullaney, is a business that extends far beyond crafts and play. Since opening in 2023, Kassnadra’s family-run business has fostered creativity and community among children and their caregivers, and it’s become a beloved haven for families in Hanover and the surrounding areas.

A Mission to Inspire

At Little Hands Crafts Corner, children from ages 6 months to 8 years can enjoy an inclusive, welcoming space to explore their creativity through arts and crafts. Safety and comfort are built into Kassandra’s business model, and she wants caregivers to relax while their children engage in imaginative play, knowing they are in a welcoming and secure atmosphere. “We strive to create an environment where everyone feels comfortable and can enjoy their time together,” she explains.

The range of services offered includes drop-in crafting sessions, birthday parties, and a variety of workshops, all designed to ignite creativity and foster learning.

Inspired by Family

In building Little Hands Crafts Corner, Kasandra was inspired by her own parenting journey. “We wanted to create a calm and inviting atmosphere for families,” she shares. This vision is rooted in the belief that community connection is essential for caregivers as they navigate the joys and challenges of raising young children. At Little Hands, families are encouraged to bond, share experiences, and feel supported in their parenting journeys.

A Unique Community Hub

What sets Little Hands apart from other children’s play spaces is its emphasis on inclusivity and community for children, their caregivers, and their families. Its calming yet engaging environment caters to both children and adults and lasting relationships can form. “We want families to feel like they’re part of a village,” Kasandra says.

Growth and Future Aspirations

As a business, Little Hands Crafts Corner has evolved quickly since its opening. The positive feedback from local families has been overwhelming, and Kasandra is eager to build on this success. She plans to expand offerings and introduce new events in the coming year. Looking ahead, she envisions opening another location, allowing even more families to experience the unique atmosphere of Little Hands.

Overcoming Challenges

While the journey has been rewarding, it hasn’t been without its challenges. Kasandra recounts the importance of adaptability and her willingness to adjust to make sure she’s meeting the needs and wishes of her clients. “We’ve had to adjust our classes and programs based on community needs,” she explains. By listening to feedback, they’ve made significant changes that enhance the experience for their visitors. These adaptations have not only strengthened the business but have also solidified its role in the community.

Commitment to Community

Community is at the heart of Little Hands Crafts Corner, both in its space and in its larger philosophy. The space encourages families to connect through open play sessions, classes, and special events. Kasandra highlights the importance of collaboration with local businesses and organizations, stating, “We want to create a sense of belonging for families.” This commitment is evident in their initiatives, which include hosting private playdates for preschools and community events that foster connection.

Additionally, Little Hands is proud to support local causes, such as DOVE (Domestic Violence Ended), and actively contributes to various community initiatives. These efforts reflect their dedication to making a positive impact and strengthening community bonds.

The Charm of the South Shore

Kasandra loves the South Shore for its vibrant sense of community and the warmth of its residents. “There’s something truly special about living and working here,” she says. The region’s scenic charm combined with its supportive atmosphere makes it an ideal place for families, and it’s this unique environment that Kasandra cherishes in her work at Little Hands Crafts Corner.

Little Hands Crafts Corner is more than just a place for children to play; it’s a community hub where families can connect, create, and grow together. With a strong commitment to inclusivity, safety, and community building, Kasandra Mullaney is shaping a bright future for local families. As she looks ahead, the excitement is palpable—Little Hands Crafts Corner is set to become an even more integral part of the South Shore community.
